Patrick Reilly, 94 of Burlington passed away peacefully on Friday May 27, 2016 at his residence.

Paddy, as he was known to family and friends was born in Dublin, Ireland on March 26, 1922.  He immigrated to New York where he lived and raised his family along with his late wife, Vera (Nora Kavanagh) who proceeded him in death.  He worked as a butcher for the A&P in the New York area for over 40 years.  He was of the Catholic faith and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. 

He is survived by his 5 children: Deirdre (Terri) Reilly of Denver; Helen Griffin of Queens, NY; Geraldine (Nick) Tsuyuki of Yokohama, Japan;  Stephen (Susie) Reilly of Burlington, NC and Margaret Reilly of Hickville, NY.  Also his grandchildren: Benjamin (Sonya) Griffin, Emily (Matthew) Sheehan, Michiko Tsuyuki, Sho Tsuyuki, Erin (Scott) Mason , Natalie Russell, Melissa Ronsiek,  and 6 great-granchildren.  There are also many extended family and friends both in the United States and Ireland who will miss him dearly.

A celebration of his life will be planned for later this year.
