Karen and I went to school together for many years and I agree 100% with Kevin Welch: she was always a sweetheart! I now live in Galax and just happened to strike up a conversation with someone in town yesterday (3/25/24) who turned out to be Karen's husband. He informed me of her passing and I was stunned. I'm so sorry that she wasn't able to live out the full life she deserved. My thoughts are with her family as I know she is missed beyond description.

So sorry for this unexpected loss! I've known Karen since we moved here 8+yrs ago. At Kroger, she always had a smile to share. Then I found we were neighbors when I saw her walking with her son. Enjoyed sitting with her at church, although my health has prevented contact lately. Was very saddened to hear of her passing and will be in prayer for her children, other family, and friends. May God comfort you all in this time of grief.

I grew up across the street from Karen for years on Walker Avenue and she and I always had fun and even got into some trouble together.....she was always so kind and pleasant and I was so sad to read this today. Her family was also always so kind to me as a neighborhood kid and I will keep all of you ion my prayers in what must be one of the hardest times in your lives. I will not forge the memories and the light Karen was when she was here with us.....RIP my friend

Karen,

You are someone that never meet a stranger, and always had a smile on your face. If more people were like you, there would be no suffering in this world. We could all learn from you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. It will be hard, but they will all come thru this knowing that you are still with them. Looking over them every day with the same smile on your face that you always have.

We love you, and miss you!!

To Karen's family, I am deeply saddened by the passing of Karen. I have known her several years from Kroger's. We became friends and she always had a smile for everyone. The world is a darker place without that smile. I pray for your healing and pray God blesses all of you with the grace you need during this difficult time;.

Our deepest symphony to the family in this tragic time. She was such a wonderful lady and had such a sweet spirit about her. She will truly be missed here on this earth and in our hearts. She had come to our church some in the last couple of years off and on. And would bring those beautiful children when she come. We will be in much prayer for them always. May the God of all comfort give you peace. I was blessed with knowing Karen and got to serve as her pastor for a short while. She was a caring loving young lady. There no words that I know that can help, other than she is in the hands of Jesus.
Your in our prayers. And the God of all peace give you comfort

Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss. Death has a terrible sting that affects all of us no matter who we are. I know you will miss Karen very much. But as you cherish fond memories. Throw your burdens on the God of all comfort and he will draw close to you during this difficult time. Psalms 55:22, James 4:8
