Recently, my daughter had to write about someone she admired and she wrote about Dad, after I told her some stories about him, like when he stopped a man from assaulting a woman with an umbrella, and when he volunteered to take some kids from a group home Christmas shopping. He had a gentle side that he often hid from others, but quietly he was an admirable person. Someone, who I'd be proud for my kids to emulate.

Nothing can completely eliminate the pain & sorrow experienced when a loved one dies. The resurrectio n hope, however, tempers the mourning & makes the pain far easier to bear. (John 5: 28. 29) What a wonderful gift we have been given, to have the hope of seeing our loved ones again. For more encouragement, about God's many blessings for us, visit the website www.jw.org

Harry (Dad)loved his family! He was a funny man. He had a laugh that would warm you and always make you join in. If I am having a bad day I can remember that laugh and things are better.
He collected duck photos and stamps for many years, but in his later years he began collecting bears. His great granddaughter was so sad to talk about him leaving us. She remembered how much he loved his bear cane and asked if she could keep it to remember him by. He also has a love for his dogs, especially Oliver. His granddaughter asked if she could have one of his jackets she would see him wearing when he walked Oliver, memories are so special to those of us still here and it is sweet to hear the things that still warm our hearts and keep him near. I loved him beyond words

Dad was a devoted husband and a kind man with a great sense of humor.
He loved art and miniature schnauzers, and being with his beloved Lucy.
