Douglas Edward Sefner, Sr., 57, of Burlington, NC, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at his home.

Doug was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on March 18, 1959, the son of John and Clara Sefner. He was employed doing auto paint and body work at Dick Shirley Chevrolet for 27 years. He restored classic cars as a hobby.

Surviving are his wife Susan Sefner of Burlington; children Douglas Jr., Mark, Daniel, and Melissa; grandchildren Kendall, Andrew, Taylor, Jathon, and Kiley; daughters-in-law Meagan and Caroline; brother Randy, sister Karen Polak, and brother-in-law Mike Polak.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 3pm until 5pm on April 18 at 2732 Charly Lane Burlington. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorials be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd, Burlington, NC 27215.
