Tina,
We are so sorry to learn of Doug's passing. We always looked forward to seeing you both at our family Christmas Day gatherings...Doug always ended up in the kitchen! He was so kindhearted and helpful. Our prayer is that God will wrap his arms around you and give you comfort during this time of sadness. We love you!

I was so saddened to hear about Doug's passing. He was a special friend to me and my late husband, Rennie. My sincere condolences go out to the family - especially his wife Tina and his daughter Carla whom I've had the pleasure of knowing. Because of the likable type of person he was; I'm sure many people are saddened and will miss him very much.

I was so saddened and shocked to learn of Doug's passing. I worked with Doug for many years at General Dynamics. He was wonderful as a coworker and friend - always quick with a smile or laugh or with a story. The world will be an emptier place without him in it. I extend my sincerest condolences to his family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I am honored to have known Doug and been able to call him a friend. He was an amazing man who seems to have touched a great number of lives. His passing has left a huge hole in my heart. Doug always treated me like a son, and I certainly looked up to him as a father. I can honestly say that I am a better person for having known him. I am so terribly sorry for your loss.

I know for certain that we never lose the people we love, even to death.
They continue to participate in every act, thought and decision we make.
Their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memories.
We find comfort in knowing that our lives have been enriched by having shared their love.

There are no words that can convey my sympathies. I just can't seem to find the words, but I loved Doug and his whole family like my own. They were good to me when my world had fallen apart. I will always remember when he and his Mom came by my daughter's house. We had such a nice visit and unfortunately it was the last time I saw them. Prayers for the family. May God fold you all in his loving arms. R.I.P. Doug.

Shock to all, but as the saying goes, couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Only problem is it's hard on the rest of us. Being such a loving person, I'm sure he's got a good place in heaven. I sure hope he prays for the rest of us. Be good to yourselves, esp. Tina and Carla, and let his love continue to fill you.
Praying with you. Lots of love. Charles

My dear friend, your passing leaves a big hole in my heart. As a Christian we all know that you are in a better place, that the Lord's plans are not our own, and that life will go on, but all of us left behind will never be the same for you have touched every one of us and left the indelible mark of your friendship and love for us on our hearts and minds forever. You will not be forgotten. Your passage is too soon and our pain is too large to find joy in this moment, but I know that is what you would want as we celebrate a life well lived. God speed, Put the petal to the metal as you go and prepare a place for each of us. What a privilege I have had to know you and be able to call you my friend.

I know personally how Doug has always been a very special person in the lives of his family and friends in the moment by moment, in the day to day things he has always shared and in the many ways he has touched our hearts. How saddened we were to learn of Doug's passing. I was just thinking the other day that it was almost time for him to be coming through here on his way to or from his annual trip to the Indy 500. We so enjoyed seeing him around this time the last few years. We were privileged to call him "friend." Please know we're praying that God will wrap His loving arms around you during this time.
In Him,
Mike, Laura, and Isaac Cloud
