Burlington

William "Bill" Alexander Carothers III, 68, of Burlington, passed away on June 15th, 2017. 

Bill was a US ARMY veteran serving his country in the Airborne division. He retired from General Electric in Charlotte and was a member of Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in Haw River. Bill loved life and had many adventures. His charming spirit touched many lives and he will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his father William A. Carothers Jr. and mother Ethel Mae Mills. 

Surviving are, his daughter, Nora Melissa Carothers and her husband Todd Harrell and grandson William Robert Harrell. By his brothers: John of Connecticut, James of Australia; his sisters: Lucille Selander of Connecticut, Nancy Cormier of Virginia, Linda DeLeo of Colorado, Janet Carothers of North Carolina, Barbara Birdsall of New York, and Melissa Carothers of Connecticut; long-time friend Alison Fletcher, and many nieces and nephews, and friends. 

Memorial services will be held on June 22 at 4 p.m. at Saint Andrew's Episcopal Church in Haw River.
