Clint William Gantos, 46, of Burlington went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at his residence.

Clint was born in Frankfurt, Germany on November 14, 1969 the son of Chuck Gantos Jr. and Chere Mooney Gantos. He was a graduate of Western Alamance High School and Elon College, where he played football. Growing up, Clint enjoyed playing baseball, football and wrestling . At an early age he won the State Wrestling Championship in Montana in the Bantam Division. He enjoyed lifting weights and competing in body building competitions as well as hunting and fishing. Clint was retired from the Guilford County Sheriff's Department after many years of service. He loved spending time with his family, especially his two grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, of 27 years, Christy Gantos of the home; two daughters,
Carmen Gantos Braddy and husband William and daughter Caitlyn Gantos; two grandchildren
Emmett Braddy and Raelynn Gaddy; parents, Chuck and Chere Gantos; a brother, Chuck Gantos III and wife Laurel; a sister, Chantelle Gantos Sorrell and husband Gabe; in-laws Jimmy Lynch and wife MaryAnn and Stephanie Oakley and husband Bobby; sister-in-law Misty Lynch;
nephews, C.J. Gantos, Cody Gantos , Dustin Gantos, Dillon Gantos, Ryder Sorrell, Mason Gantos, Preston Lynch, Hunter Ford and Ethan Ford; nieces, Savana Gantos, Skyler Sorrell, Kassie Gantos, and McKenzie Gantos.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Powerline Nazarene Church 701 Manning Avenue, Elon.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Alamance County Animal Shelter.
