Willis "Treece" McLendon

Willis "Treece" McLendon, Jr., 72 of Burlington passed away peacefully on May 17, 2022 at AuthoraCare Collective Hospice Home. 

Treece was born in Alamance County on July 24, 1949 a son of the late Willis Treece McLendon, Sr and Vera Clark McLendon. He was a US Army National Guard veteran and worked as a mechanic for C&L Radiator and retired from H&R Auto Repair. He was a loving father, grandfather and brother. He was a Harley Davidson Enthusiast, along with a love for fishing, tubing, and water skiing. He touched many lives and will be remembered most as having a heart of gold, a true friend to many.

Surviving is his daughter, Vickie McLendon (Wesley); a grandson, Nathan McLendon; a sister, Sharon Bason (Bob); nephews, Matt Bason (Ashley) and Derek Bason as well as numerous other family and friends. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Monday at Burlington Assembly of God Church. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family gratefully asks that memorials be made to the Burlington Animal Shelter.
