Virginia Westbrooks Gulley, 72 of Burlington passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the home of her son David.
Virginia was born in Person County on September 12, 1948 the daughter of the late John Henry Westbrooks and Carla Westbrooks. She worked as a seamstress for most of her career and was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt and friend to everyone. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Eugene Gulley and a daughter, Katrina Gulley.
Surviving are her sons, David Gulley (Cheryl) and Joseph "Joey" Gulley; special neighbor and friend Crystal Thompson; 11 grandchildren, David Gulley, Austin Gulley, Katlynn Gulley, Alyssa Gulley, Katelynn Oliver, Aliyah Carroll, Jada Oliver, Katrina Carroll, Mekhi Carroll, Brandon Thompson and Tabitha Thompson; three brothers, Robert Westbrooks, Jack Westbrooks and Johnnie Westbrooks; a special nephew William "Bill" Gulley (Sandra) as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday at Omega Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Tommy Bright officiating.
