Virginia Dare (Greeson) Evans

Virginia Dare Greeson Evans, 99 of Graham passed away peacefully on November 6, 2023 at Transitions Hospice in Raleigh. 

Virginia was born in Alamance County on June 12, 1924 a daughter of the late Charles Elmer Greeson and Bess Reese Greeson. She was a homemaker and loved her family. Virginia enjoyed cooking for her children and grandchildren as well as their friends. 

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, EA "Junior" Evans, a daughter Sylvia Gregory, a grand daughter Teresa Mayes, three great grandsons, Joshua Cummings, Christopher Esquivel and Nicholas Gilchrest, three brothers, Bill Greeson, Charles "CE" Greeson and Clarence Greeson, and three sisters, Dora Lee Garner, Maggie Hammond and Ruth Hinton. 

Surviving grandchildren (great-grandchildren) are, Tamela "Tammy" Helmer (Danielle), (Shassilene- daughter of Teresa), Tina Cobb (Kassi, Nikki), Tonya Burnette (Meagan, Blake) and Tabitha Wilson (Krystal, Brittney, Jeremiah);  eleven great-great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at St. Mark's Church Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Joel Philbrook (great-grandson-in-law). You may share an online condolence by visiting www.omegafsc.com. Arrangements are in the care of Omega Funeral Service & Crematory.
