Vertice Mae Holder

Vertice Mae Holder, 79 of Yanceyville passed away unexpectedly on January 3, 2022. 

Vertice was born in Orange County on September 17, 1942 a daughter of the late Aubrey Eastwood and Annie Mae Massey Eastwood. She worked as a knitter in the textile industry and was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She was 1 of 13 children and was a  member of Open Bible Baptist Church. She enjoyed mountain trips, spending time with family, watching Westerns and she loved her coffee and always made sure her hair was never out of place. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters, Debra Cobb and Robin Clark. 

Surviving are her daughter Cindy Ward (Rodney); two sons, Charlie Cobb and Karl Sullivan; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Clark, Mindi Sullivan, Jason Sullivan, Rodney Lamm, Courtney Hancock, Heather Galdamez, Larry O'Daniel, Jr and Rodney Ward, Jr.; twenty one great grandchildren; her twin brother Mertice Eastwood and her sister, Shirley Webster and a special friend, Ronnie Conner. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Monday January 24, 2022 at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel with Rev. Steve Pruitt officiating.
