In Loving Memory of Timothy Neal Sloan

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Tim, he went to be with the Lord on May 31, 2023. He was a cherished loved one and left an incredible mark on the lives of all who had the privilege of loving him. 

Born on December 2, 1957, Tim was a beacon of light, fun loving, radiating warmth, kindness, and compassion to everyone he encountered. His presence was a source of comfort, and he had an uncanny ability to uplift others during both joyous and challenging times. 

Tim lived a life filled with purpose and passion. He dedicated his love and talent to family and collecting military memorabilia. He had worked at General Electric. 

Tim was preceded in death by his son Jonathon Thomas Sloan, his granddaughter Kyla Marie his mother and father Jesse Greene Sloan and Willie Mae Smith, his sister Susan Dixon. Survived by wife of 46 years, Anita Sloan, daughter, Heather Marie Sloan and son, Christopher Neal Sloan. Grandchildren, Samuel Sloan his wife Emmaline, Jordan Danials, Jacob Horner, Benjamin Horner, Evan Sloan, Timothy Buchanan and Elijah Sloan. Great-grandchildren Hazel, Dream, Remi, Dante and Amelia. His sisters, Deloris Tanis, her husband, Casey, Janice Becky Turner and Lisa May and her husband, Frank. His cousins and friends. 

Tim was a deeply caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He treasured moments spent with loved ones and was the pillar of support in their lives. His boundless love and guidance will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all. 

In his free time, Tim enjoyed the outdoors and time with family and friends, finding solace and joy in the simple pleasures of life. He believed in embracing every moment and encouraged others to live life to the fullest. 

Tim’s spirit, resilience, and gentle nature touched the hearts of many. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Although his departure leaves an undeniable void, let us find solace in the beautiful memories we shared and carry forward the values he held dear. 

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Timothy Neal Sloan will be held on June 7, 2023 from 12 noon until 2 pm  at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory, 2120 May Dr., Burlington NC 27215. We invite all who knew him to join us in honoring his remarkable journey. 

Tim leaves behind a lasting impact and an eternal imprint on our souls. May he rest in peace, forever remembered and forever loved.
