Sharon O’Daniel Little. 72, of Burlington passed away June 18 ,2020. 

She was born March 21, 1948 in Alamance County to the late Willie Lance O’Daniel and Edith Christine May O’Daniel. Sharon retired from Gold Toe Hosiery Mill, then started her second career at West Webb Curb Market

Sharon’s passions were dancing and listening to different varieties of music. She was a fun, loving, and compassionate mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. Sharon was also known as “Mawmaw”. Being a grandma was one of her many joys in life, and she was the epitome of a great grandmother. No matter the struggles she found her way through, being the independent, hard-working woman, she was. Sharon had unconditional love for her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son John Ray Powell Jr; two brothers, Charles Edward “Sonny” O’Daniel and Roger Dale O’Daniel

Sharon is survived by two sons. James Powell, Jonathan Little (Marie); one daughter, Pricilla Little; eight grandchildren, Elliot Little, Hailey Simpson (Kyle Paynter), James Hurst, Adam Little, Kristopher Little, Michaela Little, Carly Little, and Abigail Little; and one Great Grandson Noah Paynter. Two Sisters; Martha Rebecca “Becky” Lashley and Mary Ann O’Daniel.

A memorial celebration of her life will be held on July 11th at 6:00 PM outside the home of son James Powell, 601 West Old Glencoe Rd Burlington, NC.
