Samuel Ira Kiser

Samuel "Sam" Ira Kiser, Sr. 90, formerly of Haw River, went to be with his Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 28, 2021 with his family by his side.
 
Sam was born in Cabarrus County on March 19, 1931, son of the late Rev. Parker Kiser, Sr.
and Flonnie Honeycutt Kiser. Sam was an audiologist and owned and operated his own
hearing aid business. Music has been Sam's mainstay in life since he was a youngster in
Piedmont NC, singing first with his family in Church and later with Gospel quartets. A love of
music, a God-given talent and a desire to keep singing, were there from the start. He later
added the style of a blend of Como, Crosby, and Bennett. Music was his way to touch our
hearts in so many different ways.        
 
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Parker (PD) Kiser, Jr.;
sisters, Virginia Smith and Temperance Montgomery; and grandchild Jacob Messinger.
Also preceding his death were the loves of his life, first wife Doris Hickman Kiser, second
wife Margaret Ragan Kiser and third wife Ella Catoe Kiser. 
 
Surviving are his four children, Sam Kiser, Jr. and wife Deborah, Michael Kiser, Debra
Lineberry and husband Bob, Sandra Messinger and husband Paul; and three sisters,
Bertha Simpson, Geraldine Walker and Blanche Moore.  He was graced with 11
grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild as well as 3 more great-
grandchildren on the way!

A Celebration of Sam's life will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday April 6, 2021 at Kinnett
Memorial Baptist Church with Reverend Don Pegg officiating. The family will receive friends
following the service at the home of Debra and Bob Lineberry, 3808 Kimesville Road
