Ruby Marie Clapp, 94 of Mebane passed away peacefully on Monday August 12, 2019 at Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell. 

Ruby was born in Orange County on June 25, 1925 the daughter of the late James Monroe Jordan and Maime Berry Jordan. She was a former supervisor with Western-Southern and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She enjoyed cooking, baking, music and reading. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jesse "Buck" Clayton. Ruby was the last surviving child of 11 siblings. 

Surviving are her sons, Jimmy Blythe (Maggie) of Bat Cave,  Jerry Clayton of Burlington and Mickey Clayton (Judy) of Mebane;  three grandchildren, Wendy Danner (Robbie) of Morganton, NC, Jason Blythe of Bat Cave and Jessica Blythe of Moab, Utah. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel with Rev. Stephen Hall officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.omegafsc.com.
