Obituary

Roxanne Beair, 80, of Graham, NC passed away on Wednesday May 17, 2023 at UNC Hospital Chapel Hill, NC.

Roxanne was born in Coffeyville, Kansas on September 9, 1942 to Mr. and Mrs. Clarence A Beair of Route 2, Edna, Kansas. She was employed as the president of Southern Pride Inc., a national carwash equipment manufacturing company in Burlington, NC. Her company sponsored NASCAR Legends Richard and Kyle Petty for many years. Roxanne was selected to appear in the 1983 edition of Who’s Who of American Women. She is a graduated of Labette County High School at Altamont and attended Coffeyville Community College. Roxanne loved spending time at her Happy Place on Smith Mountain Lake, VA. She loved to study Genealogy, all types of puzzles and writing on as many legal size yellow pads as she could find.

Surviving is her daughter Shelly Schadeberg Karas, (Ronnie Blalock) of Graham, NC and stepdaughter Karen VanderBee (Steven Plant) of Burtchville TWP, Mi. Preceded in death by her brother Dennis Beair.

A private celebration of life will be held at Smith Mountain Lake at a later date.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family for final expenses, anything beyond will be given to the Burlington Animal Shelter.
