Robert Ashby Grant, Sr. 82 of Burlington a United States Marine Corps Korean War Veteran, passed away on Monday October 22, 2018 at Summit Nursing Facility in Catonsville, Maryland. 

Robert was born in Montgomery County, Maryland on August 1, 1936 the son of the late Ashby Grant and Martha Reed Grant. He was a United States Marine Corps Korean War Veteran and worked as a self employed Brick Mason all of his life. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Lois Grant and a sister Shirley Grant as well as two stepsons, James O'Keefe and Michael O'Keefe.  

Surviving are  two sons, Robert Ashby Grant, Jr (Dawn) and Chuck Grant (Jeanette); two daughters, Grace Bucholtz (Joey) and Kim Rouse Murphy (Adam); a step son William Vincent O'Keefe; a brother Raymond Earl Grant; a sister Dorothy Nicholson; eight grandchildren, Robert Ashby Grant, III, Jacqueline Campbell, Ashley Wells, Jimmy Bucholtz, Joey Bucholtz, Madison Bucholtz, Brandon Rouse and Brooke Rouse and eleven great grandchildren. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 pm on Monday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel. The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
