Ricky Dale Ray

Ricky Dale Ray, 64, a US Army Veteran of Burlington passed away on Friday July 5, 2019 at ARMC.

Ricky was born in Alamance County on December 29, 1954 the son of the late Ernest Walter Ray and Virginia Purgason Ray. He was last employed as a supervisor at Scott Stone in Mebane, NC. He was an avid Duke college basketball fan and enjoyed fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Joshua Ray and a sister Vicky Brown. 

Surviving are his wife of 38 years Lynette Brown Ray; two sons, Chris Ray and Shane Ray; a daughter, Rachel Ray; eight grandchildren, one great grandson and six sisters, Gail, Susan, Robin, Kathy, Wendy and Lisa. 
 
The family will receive friends Monday, July 15, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 am on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Alamance Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel. Interment will follow the service.  The family will receive friends following at the home of Rachel Ray , 1420 Ridgecrest Avenue Burlington, NC 27215.
