Richard Clay Farthing, of Burlington NC died peacefully at his home on April 27, 2019. He was born on December 16, 1964. He was the son of the late Gene Thomas Farthing and the late Barbara Coble Farthing of Mebane. He was preceded in death by his brother Barry Gene Farthing of Mebane.

Richard is survived by his partner of 32 years, Michael Sheets; two brothers, Thomas Farthing of Graham NC and Michael Farthing of Austin AR, and step-siblings Billy Phillips, Adam Phillips, and Cristie Phillips of Mebane NC.

No formal services will be held at this time. Omega Funeral and Cremation Services is assisting the family.
