Regina Yvonne Smith, 47 of Cedar Grove passed away peacefully on June 21, 2018 at her home. 

Regina was born in Durham County on August 18, 1970 the daughter of the late Willis Wayne Smith and Shelby Jean Nichols. She was a life long resident of the area. Regina especially loved the beach and she also loved spending time with family and friends as well as her animals. In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a brother Timothy Smith and her former fiance Jeffery Bessette. 

Surviving in addition to her mother Shelby are two sons, David Anthony Smith and girlfriend Nichole Maddrey and Adam Daniel Bessette; a brother Richard Wayne Smith, Sr.; sister in law Traci Smith; niece Brittany Smith and a nephew Richard Smith, Jr and wife Kelly. 

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Tuesday June 26, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory. Sign an online register book at www.omegafsc.com. Arrangements are in the care of Omega Funeral Service & Crematory.
