Randell Wayne McLendon was born in Colombia SC on December 2, 1977 the son of Randell W. Nelson Sr. and Deborah A. Nelson. He was a plumber by profession. He had a love for motorcycles and automobiles.

Surviving is his ex-wife Vickie McLendon of Burlington, North Carolina, son Nathan McLendon of Burlington, North Carolina, brother Vonnie Nelson of Greensboro, North Carolina, and sister Jenna Clem of Coloma, Michigan.
