Ralph Frederick McIntyre, 94 of Fuquay Varina and formerly of Burlington passed away peacefully on May 9, 2023, at Harnett Medical Center. His daughter Laurie and son in law, Joey were by his side.

Ralph was born in Alamance County on April 27, 1929, a son of the late Ralph McIntyre and Rebecca Phillips McIntyre. He was a US Navy Veteran and received a World War II victory medal. He worked as a maintenance supervisor for Alamance County Schools for many years. He was also a volunteer fire chief for the town of Elon College. A graduate of Mars Hill College as well as an attendee of the University of Kansas. He was a lifelong learner and achieved a total of 32 different degrees in his lifetime. Most importantly he was a beloved and dedicated father and grandfather. He was a firm believer in the Lord Jesus Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Joan Barbee, Richard McIntyre, Erma Burchett, Frances Covington and Howard McIntyre. 

Surviving are his daughters, Laurie Holt, son-in-law Joey Holt  and Lisa Henry; five grandchildren, Lindsay Kosma, Nicholas Kosma. Madison Henry, Alison Henry, Mikayla Henry; a sister, Linda Thomas and his brother Don McIntyre. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 pm on Monday, May 15, 2023, at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel with Pastor Scott Reavis officiating. Military honors by the US Navy will follow the service. The family will receive friends from 12- 1pm prior to the service at the funeral home.
