Liberty,
Nellie Mae Sullivan Murray, 90, of Liberty went to be with her Lord on June 11, 2022 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Nellie was born on January 4, 1932 a daughter of the late William Lee Sullivan and Martha Linens Sullivan. She worked in the textile industry before becoming a mother and then was a homemaker for the rest of her life. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Liberty. She was an avid gardener who loved her flowers
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Earl Murray, a brother, Marion Sullivan and two sisters, Billie Regan and Betty Bowman.
Surviving is her son, Phillip Murray (Christie); two daughters, Brenda Murray Carte (Russell) and Linda Murray (Craig); four grandchildren, Phillip Wayne Murray, Brantley Carte (Shannon), Christopher Carte (Christy) and Brian Lowe (Krystyn); five great grandchildren, Palmer Lowe, Camden Lowe, Erin Wills, Elizabeth Wills and Kate Key; and several nieces, nephews and other family members.
A Graveside Service will be held at 12 noon on Friday at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Liberty with Pastor Andy Clapp officiating. The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Pace of Burlington, Patricia Davis and Peggy Shoffner for all their care during Nellie's final days.
