Greensboro,
Michael J. Ingalls, age 59 of Greensboro, passed from this life April 5, 2021 at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
Mike was born in Davidson County on September 11, 1961 and is predeceased by his parents Clyde Ingalls and Linda Hege. Being a military brat, he had a lifelong love for many places, but especially for the Northwestern United States. He worked for Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for 21 years before transitioning to a career as a maintenance contractor for the Federal Government. Mike loved to fish, and missed his Thursday fishing dates with his daughter Jes when his health declined. Mike was devoted to his family and friends, and never met a stranger. He was a gentle giant of a human being.
Surviving are wife Malinda of the home, sister Renee’ Brock and husband Jason of Stokes County, daughter Jessica Ingalls of Welcome, bonus children Christopher Smith and wife Tamera of Winston-Salem, Ashley Widener of Lexington and Steven Strobel of Greensboro. He will be missed by his 10 grandchildren - Dallas, Isabella, Landon, Kalynne, Audrey, Kaia, Emory, Cara, Willow and Azariah, as well as his niece Sierra.
To honor Mike’s wishes, a private Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date, with friends and family gathering to eat, laugh and tell their favorite stories about this one-of-a-kind man.
