Melvin Howard Littlejohn, 71, a US Navy Veteran passed away on August 27, 2019 at the VA Medical Center in Durham. 

Melvin was  born in Burlington on September 19, 1947 the son of the late Henry and Grover Lucille Garland Littlejohn. He was a US Navy Veteran and also worked as a Truck Driver for many years with Burlington Industries and Glen Raven. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Jesse Howard Littlejohn, Sr. 
Surviving are his wife of 49 years Patricia "Pat" Littlejohn; a son Gary Littlejohn; two daughters, Tammy Oakley (Jerry) and Melody Leet (David); eleven grandchildren, Monica Littlejohn, Sammantha Foster, Misty McFarland, Timmy Leet, Gary "Blake" Littlejohn, Nicole Leet Owen, Jesse Howard Littlejohn, Jr., Erica Littlejohn, Kaylie Littlejohn, Emily Littlejohn and Abby Oakley. 

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 1-3 pm on Monday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory. Military Honors will be held at 2 pm. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.omegafsc.com.
