Mary “Evon” Oakley, 61 of Burlington passed away on July 5, 2019 at the home of her daughter.

Evon was born in Alamance County on October 12, 1957 the daughter of the late Robert and Pauline Brown Duckworth. She was employed by Waffle House as a cook and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Surviving are her husband of 16 years Jimmy Oakley; two sons, Mike Lamm and Chris Lamm; a daughter Mandy Burger; 8 grandchildren; two great grandchildren and 5 brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday at Antioch Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
