Margaret Ann "Maggie" McDade, 67 of Burlington passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 29, 2020.
Maggie was born on March 7, 1953 to the late Fredrick and Faye Walker Douglas. She was born in Ft. Myers, Florida, lived in Ohio, and called North Carolina home. She was most proud of her work as a Registered Nurse for more than 30 years. While she was a great nurse, she truly excelled at being the very best mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her loving nature and sweetness was matched only by her stubbornness, and while she did things her way, she always acted with the best interests of others in mind. She will be dearly missed by so many who loved her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Susan Douglas and three brothers, Bruce Douglas, Michael Douglas and John Douglas.
Surviving are her life partner Larry Salyers; five children, Jimi “Randy” McDade, Reen Robinson, Jessica Douglas, Justin Douglas and Jennifer Justus and husband Tim; two brothers, Mark Douglas and Gregory Douglas; three grandchildren, Ethan McDade, Autumn McDade and Tristan McDade; and great granddaughter Sophia Willis.
