Lurin Phillip "Billy" Kinney, Jr.

Lurin Phillip “Billy” Kinney Jr. 49 of Gibsonville passed unexpectedly on November 5, 2020 in Broward County Florida.

Billy was born in Guilford County on Oct 12, 1971 the son of the late Lurin Phillip Kinney Sr. and Hazel Rabon Kinney. Billy could fix anything and enjoyed working with his hands. He enjoyed listening to music, having a good time, and just hanging out with friends and family. He had the biggest heart and would do anything for anyone. When he was home, he loved spending time with his daughter and his granddaughters. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Tonya Kinney and Tammy Pearson.

Surviving are the two daughters Ashley Kinney and Elizabeth Kinney, son Phillip Kinney, his girlfriend Karen Deming, his former wife and best friend Tonya Ripley, two grandchildren Braylinn Barnes and Aviana Carroll, four brothers Paul Rabon, Dean Kinney, James Kinney and Wilbert Kinney, two sisters Carolyn Cranford and Debbie Millikan, his closest Aunt, also like a second mom Helen Lamb as well as several other relatives and good friends.

The family will receive friends Monday November 16th from 6-8 pm at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel. A graveside service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, November 17th at Gibsonville City Cemetery.  After the graveside service the family and friends are invited back to the home in Gibsonville for food and fellowship.
