Leonard Thomas Owens, 77 of Burlington, a US Army Veteran, passed away on November 11, 2019 at ARMC. 

Leonard was born in Alamance County on September 9, 1942 the son of the late John Owens and Josie Brown Owens. He was a US Army Vietnam Veteran and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Leonard worked in the textile industry for most of his career and was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Jeffrey Todd Nance.

Surviving are his wife Donna Fesperman Owens of the home; a son Jerry Nance; a daughter Cherylynn Holleman; two grandsons, Jacob Nance and Gregory Van Dickey; a sister Linda Owens; two special nieces, Amy Lipscomb and Christy Harris (James) as well as many other family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Boyd Pickard officiating. Military honors will follow the service at the church.
