Krista Marie Holley, 26 years old of Chapel Hill, NC passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 10th, 2020.

Krista was born in Chapel Hill, NC on March 10th, 1994, the daughter of Steven Holley and Stefanie Ledwell. She was an artist and an empath, who worked in various professions, but whose lifelong vocation was helping others.  Krista was witty and sharply intelligent, and had a passion for fighting for the underdog, for rescuing animals and humans.  Even when she had little to give she was generous to a fault, and no matter what she was going through, she always tried to help those who needed it.  The night she passed into eternity, she was helping people experiencing homelessness in a tent city in Chapel Hill to connect with housing assistance, the cause closest to her heart.  In addition to her family, she will be mourned and missed by hundreds of friends whose lives she touched.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 (on her birthday) from 6-8 pm in the chapel of Omega Funeral Service and Crematory. Sign an online register book at www.omegafsc.com. 

Surviving are mother and stepdad Stefanie and Chad Ledwell, father Steven Holley and wife Judi, and brothers Joshua Holley, Cedric Ledwell, and Fred Zeh.
