Kenneth Elwood Creasy, 82 formerly of Lynchburg, VA and a resident of Burlington passed away peacefully at ARMC on January 8, 2024.
Kenneth who was lovingly known as “Creasy” or “Papa” was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on August 24, 1941, a son of the late Vernon Elwood Creasy and Ruth Hendrick Creasy. He was employed with the Viriginia DOT and worked for Harris Teeter prior to retiring and moving to North Carolina. Kenneth then worked for 16 years at Fisher Auto Parts. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and Jaycees while living in Virginia and was a member of the Boy Scouts of America as well as a troop leader. He was a member of Longs Chapel Christian Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Barbara Polly
Surviving is his wife Glenda Towler Creasy; a daughter, Courtney Pate (Joe); three grandchildren, Lydia Pate, Nathan Pate and Jonathan Pate; a sister Shirley Barber and special friends Willie and Darlene Eastwood.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1 pm at Longs Chapel Christian Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm prior to the graveside at the church.
