Obituary
Joyce Wagner 60, passed away peacefully at UNC hospital on Saturday June 18, 2022 with her son and husband by her side. Born in Durham County, the daughter of the late Jimmy and Mickey Thompson. She was a retiree from Duke Transportation after serving as a supervisor for 25 years where she loved her work family. She was currently employed by Orange County where she enjoyed being an aid for children with special needs. Spoiling her dog- Bentley, making memories and spending time with her grandchildren, crafting, and giving thoughtful gifts are just a few things that she enjoyed and will be remembered for.
Surviving are her husband Allan Wagner of Hillsborough; her son JR Moody and wife Megan Moody; and her two grandchildren Eleanor Rutledge and Max Moody.
A memorial Service will be held at 2 pm on Friday June 24, 2022 at Wayside Baptist Church with Rev Brad Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to memorial service at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St.Jude Children's hospital or the Shriners Hospitals for Children.
