Jonathan David Buckler

Jonathan David Buckler, 76, of Haw River, North Carolina passed away after a battle with cancer on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Duke University Hospital surrounded by loved ones.

Jon was born in Rochester, New Hampshire on May 19, 1947 the son of Sherburne and Mary Jane Buckler. He served in the Air Force from 1965-1968, with a tour of duty in Vietnam. Jon owned and operated a CB radio company in Hudson, NH in his early years, a taxi company in Nashua and Milford, NH for most of his career, and Alton Overhead Door before his retirement. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and bass fishing. Jon loved providing for his family. He was a gifted carpenter, engineering many home additions and garages. Jon loved puzzles and crosswords. He was an animal lover and people person. He loved going to the gym and being with friends and family.

Surviving are his wife Cheryl (Cady) Buckler; daughter Shawna Catlett and son-in-law Dave Catlett; daughter Melissa Arnold and son-in-law Chad Arnold; grandchildren Miles and Noah Catlett and Maddy and Skylar Arnold; brother William Buckler and wife Helen; and nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held from 11:00am to 2:00pm on Friday, November 24th at the Puritan Backroom Restaurant in Manchester, NH. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jon’s name may be made to Paws4ever.org/tribute/, a beloved local non-profit animal shelter. Online condolences may be shared by visiting www.omegafsc.com.
