John Elvis Clayton, Jr., 64 of Chapel Hill, passed away June 14, 2019 at his residence.

John was born in Alamance County on July 1, 1954 the son of the late John Elvis Clayton, Sr. and Edith Marie Buff Clayton. He was the former owner and operator of West Durham Transfer and Storage and was a loving son, father and brother. He enjoyed Sailing and Golf.

In addition to his mother Edith Clayton he is survived by a daughter Laura Buff Clayton; a brother William Buff Clayton.
