Jerry Reitzel Tickles Brooks

Jerry Reitzel Tickles Brooks, 77, of Graham went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday August 16, 2023 at Compass Health while surrounded by her family. 

Jerry was born in Alamance County on February 15, 1946 a daughter of the late Virgil Young Reitzel and Daisy Johnson Reitzel. She was a homemaker and a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. She loved watching soap operas, visiting the beach, and spending time with family.

In addition to her parents, Jerry was preceded in death by her husband Rockey Tickles Sr., a daughter Roxann Flos, two grandsons, Brian Tickles and Joshua Flos, a sister Lynn Cox and brother in law Lewis “Bubba” Cox.

She is survived by three children, Rockey Tickles, Jr. (Sarah), Scot Tickles (Lisa) and Julie Fitch (Don Duggins); eleven grandchildren, Krista, Leigh Ann, Jeremy, Betsy, Georgie, Chelsey, Sam, Lil Rock, Josh, Katie, Elizabeth; twelve great grandchildren; a special brother, Dr. Richard Cox; and numerous other family members and friends. 

A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at Alamance Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum. . You may share an online condolence by visiting www.omegafsc.com.  Arrangements are in the care of Omega Funeral Service & Crematory.
