Jeannette McBane Cole

Jeannette McBane Cole, 93, of Graham, NC, passed away on January 10, 2021 at Beacon Place Hospice Care in Greensboro, NC, after a brief illness.

 Jeannette was born in Alamance County on September 17, 1927, the daughter of Dorothy Lindley McBane and Diffee Roosevelt McBane. Jeannette was raised in the Eli Whitney Community and was a member of Concord United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Frank Cole.

Jeannette’s calling was as an educator and after graduation from High Point College, she taught thousands of children at Graham Middle School and taught in the public school system for over 30 years. 

She is survived by her daughter, Charise Cole Sumner and her husband Michael of Burlington.

A graveside service will be held on January 15, 2021 at Concord United Methodist Church in Eli Whitney at 12:00 pm with the Reverend Keith Porter officiating. Sign an online register book at www.omegafsc.com. Arrangements are in the care of Omega Funeral Service & Crematory.
