James Toney

James Edward Toney age 86 passed away July 17th 2021 at AuthoraCare of Alamance after several months of failing health. 

Ed was born October 26th 1934 to Robey and Bessie Mae Toney, both deceased, in Burlington NC.  He was married 56 years to Mary Elaine Ferguson Toney who preceded him in death. Ed was a retired house painter and self-taught carpenter that could build almost anything including furniture. He loved to grow a garden and can his own vegetables. Along with his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. 

He was a much beloved husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all of us. 

Ed is survived by his daughters Lisa Crabtree (Ted) of Burlington and his daughter Renee Toney of the home in Snow Camp. He is also survived by his grandchildren Regan and Mathew and great grandson Gabriel.
