Mr. Henry Eugene “Gene” Collier, 75, died in his home in Burlington, NC, on August 11, 2023, after a long illness.
Henry was born on August 20, 1947 in Troup County, GA. the son of the late Henry Baker Collier and Miriam Nelson Collier.
Gene is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years, Sheila Collier; his daughter, Joy Collier of Griffin, GA; and son, Brent Collier of Burlington, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Anne Collier of Milledgeville, GA.
Gene was a proud graduate of The Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in textiles and spent his working career in the textile industry. He enjoyed cars and working on them.
His memorial will be a small family service on August 19, 2023.
