Gilbert Vaughn Obituary

Gilbert Dalton Vaughn, 89, of Burlington passed away on Saturday, 11-26-2022 at Moses Cone Medical Center in Greensboro.

Gilbert was born in Alamance County, NC on Nov. 7, 1933 to the late Albert Marl and Maggie Fogleman Vaughn. He was an Army veteran and worked as a truck driver for most of his career. He was a devoted family man and loved by all.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Helen Lee Vaughn.

Survivors include his brother, Elton Vaughn, his sister, Evelyn Turner. Three step-children, 5 grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Burlington Animal Services in honor of Gilbert at 221 Stone Quarry Rd. Burlington, NC 27217.
