Franklin Catoe “Frank” Brincefield, 85, a US Army National Guard Veteran of Burlington, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 23, 2020 while surrounded by his family at home.
Frank was born in Alamance County on February 21, 1935 the son of the late Edward Brincefield and Myrtle Russell Brincefield. He worked as a concrete finisher for many years and also in the textile industry. Frank was an avid Wake Forest fan and a sports enthusiast. He attended West Burlington Church of God for 49 years. Frank was a dedicated husband that loved his wife “Brincy”, his children and grandchildren. He was always willing to give his time without question and will be dearly missed. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Christian Brincefield.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Vickie Truitt Brincefield; three sons, Harold Wayne Brincefield (Robin Hall), Mark Brincefield (Mandy) and Frankie Lane Brincefield; one daughter, Paula Alcorn (Brian); two brothers, Ken Brincefield and John Brincefield; two sisters, Frances Roberts and May Shepherd; three grandchildren, Jacob Brincefield, Camber Alcorn and Ella Alcorn; and his beloved canine companion “Sox”.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday at Alamance Memorial Park with Revs. Olin Tatum, Daniel Hollifield and Zach Barnes officiating. The family will have a limited viewing from 11:30 until 12:30 prior to the service at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory and social distancing will be required.
