Alamance,
Emma "Mae" Terry Clapp, 98 of the Village of Alamance passed away unexpectedly at home on March 16, 2021.
Mae was born in Alamance County on May 4, 1922 the daughter of late Oscar Terry and Lula Wall Terry. She worked as a knitter in the textile industry for many years and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James Harvey Clapp, a daugher, Linda Clapp Jones and a grand daughter, Tammy Clapp Rowland.
Surviving are two sons, Tommy Dean Clapp, Sr. (Diane) and Jerry Wayne Clapp (Vinus); two grandchildren, Tommy Dean Clapp, Jr. (Teresa) and Sandy Oldham Langley (Cory); four great grandchildren, Megan, Mackenzie, Hunter and Madison Mae; a brother Edward James "Mutt" Terry and a sister Lucille Byrd.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1 pm on Monday at Alamance Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Ronnie Byrd officiating. Sign an online register book at www.omegafsc.com. Arrangements are in the care of Omega Funeral Service & Crematory.
