Emerald Melissa Guess-Campbell

Emerald Melissa Guess-Campbell was born November 9, 1976 in Bronx, New York. She was called to eternal rest May 11, 2023 at Wesley Long Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.

After graduating High School Emerald served in the United States Army. While in the military she was awarded a National Defense Service Medal. She was a loving mother, that worked in the Food Management Industry most of her life.

Emerald loved her family and friends. She had a very strong passion for cooking. When Emerald was not in the kitchen cooking, she was spending time watching movies with her family. She enjoyed listening to old school hip-hop music. Emerald was also a very proud New Yorker.

Left to cherish her memory is her spouse: Dante Campbell Sr; sister: Shonniece Holland; children: Stacey Guess, Jazzmine Grant, Dante Campbell Jr; and Chico” her beloved Chihuahua”;  grandson: Jayden Peterson; nieces: Chantel Grant and Shanee Grant; nephew: Leleen Talle; friends that were very near and dear to Emerald’s heart: Sadat 7 Abraham, Kimberly Beeghley, and Asante Elliot.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 12 noon on Thursday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel with Pastor Ron Harris and Pastor Ronnie Brown officiating.
