Elizabeth A. (Betty) Vossers
September 19, 1932 – January 14, 2024

Beloved mother, grandmother and friend, Elizabeth A. Vossers, 91, of Greensboro, NC passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2024.

Betty was born in Detroit, MI on September 19, 1932, the daughter of the late M. Myrtle Anderson Terrill and Morgan Terrill. Betty graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a B.A. degree and was a member of Delta Delta Delta, Kappa Delta Phi and Phi Epsilon Omicron. She met and married her late husband, John, at OWU and after several moves, they settled in Erie (Lawrence Park), PA, where they joyfully raised their family. John and Betty moved to Bradenton, FL in 2003 and then to Greensboro, NC in 2016. They were happily married for 63 years before John’s passing in 2017.

Betty taught at Erie’s First Church of the Covenant preschool for 20 years. She was active in Church Women United, the Lawrence Park Golf Club and P.E.O. chapters in both PA and FL. Betty enjoyed golf, travel, sewing and reading. She was an active member of Eastminster Presbyterian Church in Erie, Kirkwood Presbyterian Church in Bradenton and Mount Pisgah Church in Greensboro.

In addition to her beloved husband, John, she was predeceased by her parents and brother, Alan J. Terrill. Surviving are her children, Vickie L. Slomski (Walter) of Marion Center, PA, Nancy V. Kelly (Jack) of Southbury, CT, and Dr. John T. Vossers, III (Anne) of Burlington, NC, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family asks that any memorial contributions in celebration of Betty’s life be made to Salvation Army or Mount Pisgah Church.
