Eleanor Lillie Kilpatrick Hargrove, 100, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2022 at home.

Eleanor was born in Danville, Virginia on September 13, 1921 a daughter of the late Doit Kilpatrick and Bertha Strader Kilpatrick. She was the co-owner of Alamance Hotel Soda Shop with her husband Red and worked at Garvins Clothing for part of her career. She was a member of Emmanuel Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey "Red" Hargrove, Sr. and six siblings. She was an avid gardener and a joy to all who knew her, most of all her grandchildren.

Surviving is her son Eddie Hargrove (Julia); three daughters, Linda Lipnosky (Bob), Marcia Pyle (Bob) and Penny Hargrove; four grandchildren, Drew Lipnosky, Robert Lipnosky, Charlie Pyle and Amanda Pyle Citrin; and two great grandchildren, Bennett Citrin and Larkin Citrin.
