Donald Keith Hurt

Donald Keith Hurt (Kinky) formerly of 1345 W. Center St. Mebane, died with family by his bed side at 11:33 pm Thursday August 10, 2023, at the home of his brother (Michael) after weeks of failing health.

He was born on March 30, 1956 in Danville, Virginia,  the son of John Lawson Hurt and Barbara Martin Hurt Morrison both deceased.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Hurt Oliver

Keith worked at Culp Weaving in Graham, NC for many years.

Survivors include his wife Shelia Diane Solomon Hurt of Burlington; his daughter Deena Marie Mooney (husband Tim) of Graham, NC grand daughter Angela Doherty of SC. brother Rev. Michael W. Hurt (wife Joyce) of Haw River NC. sister Donna Christopher (husband Rev. James) of Mebane, NC; many nieces and three nephews, all of whom he loved Dearly.

Special Thanks to the family members who help take care of Kinky in his final days.

Keith will have a graveside service 4:00 pm August 25, 2023, at Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane.  In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully asks that memorials be made to the family C/O Don Solomon.
