David Holt Brooks

David Holt Brooks, 64, passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Duke University Hospital.  He was born in Alamance County to the late David Blanney Brooks and Mary Ruth Holt Brooks, and was the husband of 44 years to Dorothy Ann Wilson Brooks who survives.

Holt retired after 21 years from AO Smith Corporation.  He was a member of the SCV, he enjoyed spending time with his friends at Fairchild Park, eating at Biscuitville and listening to his police scanner.  Holt was a true friend and enjoyed helping his family and friends.

Survivors other than his wife, Ann Brooks include his feline daughter, Bonnie; his adopted canine fur baby, Sandy; cousins by marriage, Tammy Wilson, Mike Parnell and Dwight Wilson; niece, Tiffiny Lawson; great nephew, Peyton Watkins; great niece, Kaitlyn Haith; relatives in Henderson, NC; numerous friends; special friends, Bucket Barnett, Max Price, Billy Teeter, Bo King, Donald Harvey, Donna Sorrell, Jack Turner, Inez Wrenn, Emily Gray, Rodney Layell, Earle and Juanita Moore and Doris Way.  He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Jeff Brooks.

The graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, April 16, 2021 at Alamance Memorial Park by Eric Rudd.  Memorials may be made to Sons of Confederate Veterans
