Catherine Rose Bledsoe Pruitt, 70 of Providence passed away peacefully on May 3, 2021 at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville.

Catherine was born in Rocky Mount, VA on November 2, 1950 the daughter of the late Jim Bledsoe and Rose Marie Wade Bledsoe. She was a college graduate with an associates degree and worked for Community Corrections and also Liberty Tax Service. She had associate degrees in Business Management and Criminal Justice. Graduated with a 4.0 GPA on the Dean’s List. Was on The Who’s Who of college students

Surviving are her mother Rose Marie Bledsoe; three sons, Ricky Pruitt (Holly), David Pruitt (Jessica) and Daniel Pruitt; five grandchildren, Ricky Oiler, Charlie Oiler, Nicholas Oiler, Sadie Pruitt and Anna Pruitt; two brothers, Michael Bledsoe and Mark Bledsoe; a sister Linda Bledsoe and numerous other family members and friends.
