Carolyn Ruth Hensley Brown, 72 of Burlington passed away peacefully on June 1, 2022 with family by her side at home, after years of declining health.

Carolyn was born on August 1, 1949 a daughter of the late Dana and Lola Smith Hensley. She worked as a cook for numerous restaurants in the area and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Carolyn was a member of Staley Memorial Baptist Church. 

Surviving is her husband of 53 years, Johnny Brown; a son Dana Brown; her daughter Michelle York and husband Lee; daughter in law Wendy Brown;  three grandchildren,  Blake and Luke Brown and Ely York; a great grandson Thomas Brown  and numerous other family members and good friends. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday at Omega Funeral Service & Crematory Chapel. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home and all other times at the home. You may share an online condolence by visiting www.omegafsc.com.
