Candida “Candy” Maria Feaster James, 52, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday April 26, 2023.
She was born on November 10, 1970 in Rockingham County, WV to Charles “Joe” Jefferson Feaster and the late Sherry May Pennington Charlton, and was married to the late William “Bill” Thomas James, Jr. -who reunited with the Lord in 2015. They met in 1991 at Lake Juno and the rest was history. The sun rose and fell on Bill in Candy's eyes; they were always together (except during hunting season) and enjoyed camping, fishing, four wheeling, taking trips and watching COPS together.
Candy formerly worked as a transportation driver with Piedmont Senior Healthcare Center and briefly for Bigelow Transportation. She loved being outdoors, had a passion for helping others and loved her job. She loved Snoopy, taking long drives with no destination, enjoyed listening to music (especially anything from the 80's, 90's and of course, Elvis), hummingbirds, hunting and fishing with her husband, going to the beach and camping, lighthouses and-even if she would never admit it- her daughter's cat, Bailey. Candy loved spending time with her family, but most of all, with her grandchildren- they had her wrapped around their little fingers from the moment she laid eyes on them.
Survivors other than her father, Joe Feaster include her only daughter, Christina James(Joshua Falemalama), grandchildren, NovaRae and Madeline Falemalama; sisters, Corrina (Joe) Gnoffo, Cheryl Walls, Charlie (Cuate) Charlton Arrequin and Crystal Charlton; along with nieces and nephews; Kenny (Kelly) Charlton, Olivia Gnoffo, the late Jessica Aikens and many more.
Candy was preceded in death by her mother, Sherry Charlton, her husband, William James, Jr. and a sister, Daphne “Daffy” Feaster Cooper.
A celebration service will be held at a later date.
