Bobby Junior Long, 89 of Greensboro formerly of Alamance County passed away peacefully under the care of Hospice on October 17, 2023 at Maple Grove Nursing and Rehab Center.
Bobby was born in Person County on March 22, 1934 a son of the late Jesse Thomas Long and Thelma Shelton Long. This is something he would pass down to his children and grandchildren. Bobby loved Dancing and listening to bluegrass music. He was a kind soul. Would give anyone the shirt off his back. His famous lines were "Yall be particular" and "If you can't dance shake a bush." Bobby was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and brother.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mildred Long, five brothers, Harvey Long, James Long, Lawrence Long, Donald Long and Johnny Sneed as well as his sister Elsie Harper. He was also preceded in death by his faithful companion "Peanut".
Surviving are his son Luther "Darrell" Long; four grandchildren, Christopher Long (Amanda), Jessica Long (Nick Wynn), Dee Dee Long and Joshua "Nick" Long; eight grandchildren, Ambrea, Matthew, Caleb, Noah, Chandler, Abigail plus two more as well as numerous other family and friends.
